Tell us a bit about yourself...
I'm a first generation Iranian immigrant with entrepreneurial parents. From a young age I always thought about doing things that people told me was impossible. I started my 1st company with 3 co-founders to close a gap between cultures through content. My passion has always been to unite, educate and empower people – particularly women. I believe in paying it forward, and impact is an important piece of my daily mission. When Im not working, I try to learn something new, travel, or spend time with my family and friends.
Tell us how you ended up at GlobeIn...
I have always had a passion to empower women and provide social impact. I first discovered GlobeIn about a year ago and loved the idea of helping women around the world expand their businesses. I reached out to the company to contribute, and a year later (this September) joined them as their Chief Business Officer to lead growth, partnerships and expansion.
What do you love about your job?
Everyday enabling women around the world attain a higher quality of life for themselves, family and community through their thriving businesses.
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned?
I have learned that there is no one path for success. Each person takes a different road and makes different decisions that align well with who they are to become the best they can be. Don't copy someone else's path; create your own opportunities.
Tell us your personal philosophy in 10 words or less...
Paying it forward pays off!
Tell us a bit about your style...
I like timeless pieces, whether its the Burberry trench coat, a black dress which I can accessorize or a white shirt that has leather trims. I usually pick unique pieces and match them together.
How has your industry influenced your style?
I work in the tech industry in San Francisco - which means most people are dressed casually in jeans and flats. To compromise, I accessorize most of my outfits with jewelry, colors and mix and match materials. Now I can wear something casual but add heels so that particular outfit is ready for a networking event.
What’s your go-to power outfit?
Knee length cap sleeve dress with flats or dark jeans with a top, blazer, flats or heels. Both outfits can turn from casual office day to professional meeting or speaking/keynote outfits.
What are your favorite brands or stores?
I like Zara, Theory, Halston, Vince and Helmut Lang because their pieces are timeless, unique and can be worn for different occasions. Each outfit can be turned from a day/office to an evening ensemble with the help of accessories. I love that each individual piece can be combined.
Tell us about a recent fashion discovery...
